Every year Tony co-sponsored "Right to Carry" laws and other pro-gun measures.  Tony will continue to actively defend your rights.

Pro-Life (click to view specific votes):
Tony's outspoken stance and outstanding voting record against abortion earned him the endorsement of Pro-Life Maryland.

Illegal Immigration (click to view specific votes):
Tony views this issue in light of the increased homeland security needs as well as the ever growing burden on the tax payer for entitlement programs.  Immigration has been and will be essential to the continued prosperity of our community but he recognizes that those that are breaking our laws should not be given rights and benefits.

Defense of Marriage (click to view specific votes):
Tony believes that marriage should remain a union between a man and a woman.  Additionally, Maryland should not be forced to recognize "marriages" from other states contrary to our law.

House Bill 1373

Anne Arundel County - Board of Education - Selection of Members

Providing for the election and appointment of specified members of the Anne Arundel County Board of Education; requiring some of the members of the Board to reside in and be elected from specified districts and some of the members to be appointed by the County Executive and confirmed by the County Council; specifying the members' terms and staggering their terms; providing for the removal of members under specified circumstances; providing for a student member; submitting the Act to a referendum; etc.

House Bill 340

Maryland Estate Tax - Unified Credit Effective Exemption Amount

Increasing from $1,000,000 to $1,250,000 the maximum applicable exclusion amount under the federal estate tax on which the unified credit used to determine the Maryland estate tax is calculated; and applying the Act to decedents dying after December 31, 2005.

House Bill 442 (later passed as House Bill 102)

Creation of a State Debt - Anne Arundel County - Community Center at Woods

Authorizing the creation of a State Debt not to exceed $500,000, the proceeds to be used as a grant to the Board of Directors of Woods Community Center, Inc. for the planning, design, construction, renovation, and capital equipping of the Community Center at Woods, located in Severna Park; providing for the disbursement of the loan proceeds, subject to a requirement that the grantee provide and expend a matching fund; prohibiting the use of the proceeds of the loan or the matching fund for sectarian religious purposes; etc.
